Europe’s major supplier of boiler units NEM Energy B.V., which is part of Siemens AG, and JSC Machine-Building Plant ZiO-Podolsk / JSC Engineering Company ZIOMAR (part of the machine building division of Rosatom State Corporation – JSC Atomenergomash) signed an agreement on extension of the Cooperation agreement as of 2014 on boiler units engineering and production. The agreement expands the existing NEM Energy license for ZiO-Podolsk plant to perform boiler equipment engineering and production. In particular, now the license includes small waste-heat boilers with gas turbines of capacity under 50 MW.

The agreement provides for training of Russian specialists on new technology, joint engineering works, as well as potential deliveries of state-of-the-art equipment and solutions to the sites of the RF fuel and energy complex. According to the document, upon agreement with the licensor ZiO-Podolsk will also be able to manufacture and supply licensed boiler equipment for projects under implementation beyond the borders of Russia and the CIS.

Supply Chain Management Director of Power and Gas Division, Siemens AG, Mr. Christoph Wollny and General Director of JSC Atomenergomash Mr. Andrey Nikipelov, who attended the official signing procedure, pointed out successful cooperation development between Siemens and Atomenergomash. The General Director of JSC ZiO-Podolsk Mr. Andrey Buzinov emphasized special significance of the agreement for distributed power industry development in Russia on the basis of domestic production and pioneering technologies of one of the global leaders of waste-heat boilers production.

Engineering Company ZIOMAR specialists will shortly complete training in the Netherlands, where they will learn advanced technologies, based on the modular concept for waste-heat boilers.
