The machine-building division of Rosatom, JSC Atomenergomash, signed a Memorandum of Understanding today with PW Power Systems LLC (PWPS), a provider of energy solutions for the power generation industry, to explore the joint development of aero-derivative gas turbine power plant projects in the Russian Federation.

The signing took place at the XI International forum, "ATOMEXPO." The MOU also provides for localization of production of certain components and parts of the PWPS gas turbine power packages based on PWPS technology. The parties plan to cooperate in the execution of projects in the energy markets of Russia, CIS, and other countries by mutual agreement.

"Cooperation with a world leader in the development and production of energy solutions will give us the opportunity to enter the market for the supply of equipment for gas turbine stations, expanding the portfolio of orders in this field," said Andrey Nikipelov, General Director of JSC Atomenergomash.

Raul Pereda, President and CEO of PWPS, added, “We are excited to enter into this agreement with one of the preeminent power companies in Russia and look forward to building a strong relationship that leverages our mutual strengths to provide needed equipment and services to customers in the region. For over 20 years, PWPS has successfully deployed its gas turbines in the territory, and this endeavor with Atomenergomash has the potential to provide a more competitive and attractive offering to this market.”
