Atomenergomash and NEM will Develop their Cooperation in Heat-Recovery Supplies

On February 7, Moscow, OJSC Atomenergomash announced a working meeting between CEO of Atomenergomash Andrey Nikipelov and CEO of NEM Energy b.v. Gerard Van Dijk. During its three-day business trip to Russia the Dutch delegation visited ZIO-Podolsk Power Engineering Plant (part of Atomenergomash, Rosatom) and Novomoskovsk Power Plant (OJSC “Quadra”, the Tula region). 

The licensing agreement between Atomenergomash and NEM Energy b.v. – leading engineering company of heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) in Europe - was signed in 2009. Agreement of cooperation provides the supply of the HRSG’s  for CCP-190 Novomoskovsk HPP, CCP-420 South Ural HPP-2 and CCGT 400 Nizhnevartovsk HPP. 

During the visit the two sides held discussions on information exchanging, current market of recovery boilers, further strengthening of cooperation and developing a strategy for collaboration in the Russian market. The two sides confirmed their intention to extend the current license agreement which expires in 2014. They also mentioned the potential of the Russian market of heat-recovery steam generators which is estimated by Atomenergomash at 2 bln USD for 2013-2017. 

"We have united two companies – «ZIO-Podolsk» and «ZIOMAR» - under the common command which will help reduce production costs and increase their competitiveness. Our immediate objective is to strengthen the positions of Atomenergomash in the thermal energy equipment market. Our backlog in thermal energy should reach a level comparable with that of the nuclear industry", - said Andrey Nikipelov.

“The partnership with NEM Energy b.v. allowed ZiO-Podolsk to strengthen its positions in the thermal power, and even become the one of top 3 leaders producing high-power boilers of 400 MW and above - said CEO of the group of companies «ZIO-Podolsk» and «ZIOMAR» Igor Kotov. - I believe that the involvement of foreign advanced technology and sharing experiences in the implementation of joint projects, will allow us to offer the most competitive product in the market.”

A day earlier, the representatives of the Dutch company visited Novomoskovsk HPP to review the progress of the equipment commissioning produced under license by «ZIO-Podolsk». "We wanted to see how our engineering solutions are embodied in metal. - the CEO of NEM Energy b.v. Gerard Van Dijk said - The level of technical realization is to be commended. We are impressed with the results we have seen".
