Atomenergomash and GE start cooperation in the area of digital technologies for the energy sector

Sochi, Russia, 2018/05/15

The Engineering Division of Rosatom - Atomenergomash JSC and General Electric (GE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the area of digital technologies implementation in manufacturing. The MoU signing took place May 15th in Sochi in the frame of X International Forum ATOMEXPO.

As specified in the document the Parties intend to develop strategic cooperation in the area of digital technologies implementation in the industrial manufacturing, that are targeted at the increase of production efficiency, development of remote maintenance service of the installed equipment, optimization of technological processes and cost reduction.

Rosatom and GE are the recognized leaders in the area of implementation of digital technologies. Like Rosatom Engineering Division we are keen to apply to the maximum the different digital solutions in the management environment and production sector. It allows to reduce decision making time, to optimize loading of machinery fleet , propose new technical and product solutions to our clients, that is very important in the terms of fast growing order portfolio and volumes of manufacturing. There is an active cooperation between AEM and GE in the implementation of joint industrial projects, while the extension of cooperation area by industrial manufacturing will contribute new knowledge and experience to the both companies, create additional base for cooperation development on behalf of our customers and partners » said Andrey Nikipelov the Chief Executive Officer.

We are pleased to have an opportunity to extend by prospective digital are our cooperation with Atomenergomash, one of the Russian mechanical engineering industry leaders. The modern digital technologies allow to take a qualitatively new efficiency level. The close cooperation between GE and and AEM in the digital know-how area on the base of global expertise and European center of GE Digital Foundry will also open new opportunities for joint projects, said Chief Innovation Officer GE Power Maher Chebbo.

It is planned that the both parties will make the current evaluation of digitalization at the manufacturing premises of Rosatom division, will study the possibilities of additional digital solutions use at through all production phases and develop a road map of digital transformation. Pursuant to the document the pilot project will be executed at AEM manufacturing branch Atommash in Volgodonsk.
