Journalists from India, Vietnam and Bangladesh visited AEM-technologies

Fourteen journalists of leading mass media from India, Vietnam and Bangladesh visited November 28 the Volgodonsk Branch of AEM-technologies (part of the machine engineering division of ROSATOM, Atomenergomash). The journalists’ interest in manufacture of NPP equipment was induced by development of nuclear power programs in their countries.

During the meeting, CEO of AEM-technologies Yevgeny Pakermanov demonstrated the media representatives the production capabilities of the Volgodonsk Branch, told them about progress in manufacture of equipment for different NPPs and answered the journalists’ questions. The press tour participants familiarized with manufacture of the reactor pressure vessel for Unit 1 of Belarus NPP and steam generators for Unit 4 of Rostov NPP. The journalists paid special attention to the manufacture process of the core melt trap for Unit 2 of Baltic NPP.

A journalist of the daily sun (Bangladesh) Shamin Jahangir said he was impressed by the facility’s production capacities. He said: I and my colleagues are pleased with the visit to the facility. We saw such a big facility and such powerful equipment for the time. We were stricken by sizes of component parts and we understood that nuclear power plants, which are made to the Russian design, are safe for the wider public.
